Now, without further ado, here's the latest status on things:

Most Recent and Upcoming Releases...

A Vampire’s Claim came out March 3. This is the story of Australian vampire Lady Daniela (Danny), and the bushman who becomes her human servant, Devlin. They were featured as secondary characters in Mark of the Vampire Queen. I had the pleasure of learning more about the world of 1953 Australia for this book. Dev has the dry humor and “no worries” attitude unique to the people of Oz, and Daniela, who is also different from our more formal European vampires, was the perfect complement to him.

Beloved Vampire (August 2009) introduces the mysterious Lord Mason, a vampire who lives as a recluse, brooding over the loss of a woman who died centuries before (he’s also featured in Mark of the Vampire Queen and was briefly mentioned at the end of Vampire Queen’s Servant). A beautiful archaeologist is determined to find his lost love’s burial site and Mason is determined to stop her. Only he finds out that Jessica is also the escaped servant of a dead vampire, and she needs his protection – though she’d rather be boiled in oil than ask for his help.

A Mermaid's Ransom (December 2009) - This is the story of Jonah and Anna's daughter Alexis (Jonah and Anna were the main characters of A Mermaid's Kiss) and Dante, a Dark One/vampire half breed who was briefly featured in A Witch's Beauty. Writing this story was another fascinating journey into the nature of good and evil, redemption and the healing power of love, some of my favorite topics. I was also able to bring together my vampire queen and mermaid/angel series, because with Dante being a vampire, their paths will cross Lyssa and Jacob's!

Laced with Desire (February 2010) - The Unlaced anthology has been so popular the publisher has brought the four of us authors back together for another volume. In Unlaced, you'll remember I contributed Lucas's story, from the Knights of the Board Room series. Keeping with that theme, in Laced with Desire, I'll be providing Peter's story, another "Knight". He meets the submissive of his dreams, only to have a wartime tragedy threaten to take her from him. It will take all his Dominant sensibilities to convince her to embrace life again and accept the love he wants to offer to her.

Works In Process...

More vampires! Gideon, a vampire hunter and Jacob's brother, introduced in Mark of the Vampire Queen, will have his own story. I can't introduce a tortured hero like that and not give him his own book! Interestingly, this story is shaping up to be my first menage (m/m/f).

A Vampire’s Claim also had two different sets of secondary characters step forward and demand their own stories. Due to problems managing the vampire "children" you'll meet in Vampire's Claim, Elisa, a second-marked servant in Lady Danny's household, will need to travel to America to work with a vampire who is the silent partner in a wild cat sanctuary and uniquely suited to "tame" the children down. The next book in my Vampire Queen series will focus on the the Queensland Region Master, Lord Alistair, and his human servant Nina, who is pregnant with his child in A Vampire’s Claim. We’ll go back to the beginning of their relationship so we can find out their full story. Nina's sister was promised to Alistair in a feudal-style agreement with her parents, and so she was groomed her whole life for that role. But when a car crash takes her life, Nina has to step into the role for which she is completely unprepared - being a human servant.

With respect to my Nature of Desire series, I'm working on Brendan and Chloe from Mirror of My Soul! Chloe’s been having some trouble getting over her traumatic experience from that book, and Brendan is the perfect, sensitive hero to restore her confidence and joie de vivre again. Of course Marguerite and Tyler will help facilitate in a number of provocative ways...

Rough Canvas, also from the Nature of Desire series, brought us Julie, a close friend of Marcus and Thomas. Since she’s in her late thirties and has pretty much given up on finding a good relationship, she’s told Marcus that she’d just rather hang around with gorgeous gay men, flirt with and fantasize about them, than be let down by a flesh and blood hetero male. We’re going to see if we can’t find a man to change her mind about that. You know Marcus and Thomas will be there, protecting her interests and checking this guy out thoroughly. I also expect additional secondary characters from that work - Rory and Daralyn, as well as Ellen - to eventually get their own books.

Finally, I've got another male/male erotic romance drifting around in my mind, and an epic fantasy/paranormal romance series to update and remarket. So right now it appears I've got enough to hold me for the next couple decades (laughter). I'll keep you posted on everything!

Print to Digital and Digital to Print News:

Mistress of Redemption, the last book I have that's currently available only in digital format, is on the summer print list at Ellora’s Cave! For those who want to add Jonathan's story to your shelves, hopefully we'll see it show up at the publisher site sometime between July and September.

Conference Appearances:

I'll be at Lori Foster's Reader Author Get Together in the Cincinnati area in June, and the Authors After Dark Conference in New York in October. That same month I'll also be at the Ellora’s Cave first Romanticon. Hope to have the opportunity to meet more of you all at these great book-loving events. The monthly newsletter lists more details about these online and conference appearances.
