There's no way a plot summary could do this wonderful book justice without giving away too much. MAKE HER DREAMS COME TRUE is like a multi-layer cake created by a master baker, with intriguing variety, sections of almost unbearable sweetness, the occasional tart layer, a few surprise ingredients, and a firm, solid foundation. The icing is excellent writing that uses a myriad of wisely chosen sensory details to tell the story. The plot is carefully worked out with both mystery and psychological suspense to hook the reader. The characters are delineated with depth and subtlety, and the sex is Hot, very HOT, more than a little kinky and perfectly necessary to the development of the story.

MAKE HER DREAMS COME TRUE works on every level. It's a tender, moving romance, a sensual odyssey so arousing that although the consummation is delayed for a while, the journey to it is more than half the fun, a look into the psychological depths of some generic women's fantasies of the "take control" man, and finally a portrait of a particular woman with some not-so-generic problems. It's erotic romance that touches the heart and mind as well as the libido.

Joey W. Hill, if she didn't, should have won an award for this book. I just loved it. The characters were wonderful, and Daniel just melted my heart and made me tear up. Meg on the other hand, was somewhat frustrating when trying to get through the story in the beginning. She would clam up when she started to speak, be afraid of repercussions if she spoke her mind. But then I found out why she was the way she was. And once the past had been revealed, the character was instantly redeemed.

This is a wonderful story and I recommend to anyone that loves a good story, even if they don't like erotica because Miss Hill has woven a beautiful tale for the erotica genre while not making sex the forefront of it, there is a real story here.

Make Her Dreams Come True is an exceptionally moving and powerful story which I cannot praise highly enough. While I initially felt some disbelief at the immediate trust that Meg places in Daniel, Ms. Hill did a fantastic job of providing insight into the characters actions. I soon found myself complete entranced by this beautiful and poignant romance. Meg is emotionally fragile and does not believe she can trust herself any more. Daniel opens up a new world for her by giving Meg strength to live her own life through the exploration of light bondage and a D/s relationship. With each scene Ms. Hill gradually unfolds more detail and establishes a greater understanding of the characters and their past. This is an incredibly hot and sensual story but it is the emotional intensity Ms. Hill brings to the tale that touches the soul.

"You're pure sense, Meg. Every part of you is open and, like a butterfly, you're heartbreakingly fragile...If you put armor on the butterfly's wings, it couldn't fly, and it wouldn't be a butterfly anymore. You think the wall you're trying to build will protect you, but all you're doing is building a wall between yourself and your experience of yourself. You're really just suffocating yourself."

Passages like this illustrate the depth of this tale. Extended metaphors and symbolism, such as the gossamer silk dress that Meg cannot envision herself in, create a rich, complex tale. At the same time, Hill does not skimp on the sex, instead including detailed, evocative scenes that are as much about fulfilling erotic fantasies as they are about establishing characterization. MAKE HER DREAMS COME TRUE is a powerful, passionate story that reveals Hill's knowledge of psychology while also showcasing her skill in writing. Daniel is definitely a man to dream of, one in fact who reminds me why I believe in soul mates.

This was a very hard book to review, without giving away too much. The whole novel takes place in a 6-hour span of time at a shopping mall. Make Her Dreams Come True is a multilevel work; as you read, the layers slowly peel off. It's a tender, moving romance that is arousing and hits the senses at every turn. This is a very hot, hot erotic romance, with a little kinkiness thrown in. I think every woman would like to have a "take control" man at least for a while. This is a definite keeper for me.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Meg is a fragile women who has been hurt in the past. I wasn't quite sure what to make of her in the beginning of the book, but the more I read, the more I got to know and understand her. Daniel is a sexy, strong, and utterly commanding hero who isn't afraid to give up control for a while in order to teach the heroine about trust and love. The sexual tension and love scenes were very hot. I highly recommend this book!

This was one of the most amazing erotic stories I've ever read. I've read so many erotic stories that most of the time, they all blend together as just another erotic story. This is the first that's truly touched my heart. Each touch, each movement, each turn of control has a specific purpose, all leading the beautiful and touching conclusion of this story. I highly recommend this story, even for those who don't usually enjoy erotic romance.

"One Hot Hero"

Life has dealt Meg a poor hand and she doesn't know how to play it. She finds herself hurting the ones she loves by her actions and can't seem to stop. Until the day at the mall when she meets Daniel, her dark angel. Giving herself over to his control is difficult, yet liberating. Though she calls what they are doing a game, Daniel is ever so serious about it... and the sensual pleasure he introduces her to as "punishment" is something she fears and yet desires uncontrollably. Who is Daniel, really? Why is he here with her? Will he be her salvation--or her final downfall?

The hero in this book is quite wonderful. The heroine is a rather pathetic creature to start with, but she develops quite nicely. The first part of the story is a bit confusing, but riveting. You just don't want to stop reading this one. The sexual tension is quite well done, as are the acts themselves. The characters become real, including the few secondary ones. I wouldn't mind a few of these salespeople waiting on me. There are a couple of scenes I could have done without, yet even these were handled very well. Altogether an excellent read.

WARNING: THIS ONE IS HOT! Read with a glass of ice water and a fan handy. You're going to need it.

This novella is more erotica than romance, but it is also a story about letting go of pain and guilt, and accepting yourself and your past. Through generous use of metaphor and erotic imagery, Joey W. Hill shows us one woman finally able to do that, and even lets captive become captor for a few delicious pages.

Joey W. Hill weaves her magic through words, seducing your mind just as Daniel seduces Meg with his words. Beautifully written MAKE HER DREAMS COME TRUE is true romantic erotica. I do not recommend this book for the gentle reader but instead recommend it very highly for those who are open to the mind and heart of this talented writer. There are vivid descriptions of domination, and sexual acts, but every word is tastefully written. Daniel is the pure alpha male hero, while dominant he still has a gentle, tender side...caring each moment for Meg's feelings and welfare.

This novella dares to plunge below the surface. It is about two very real, imperfect people, with real problems and real emotions. These aren't cardboard cutouts, but achingly authentic people, and they connect on a far deeper level than just a joining of genitalia. When was the last time an erotic novel brought you to the brink of tears? The writing is as lush and voluptuous as a pin-up of Marilyn Monroe, and as filled with insight into the human soul as anything written by Mary Jo Putney or Kristin Hannah.

A substantial story, characters so real they breathe, wonderful writing, and sex so exciting it could short out a Hitachi Magic Wand...what are you waiting for? Buy this already.

I felt immersed in this story from the first words by Ms. Hill. Meg is a scarred soul and Daniel is her salvation. The complex emotions brought out of Meg were a delicate dance by Daniel and I almost cried at several places. I have always enjoyed Ms. Hill’s work, and this is by far one of her extreme best works.
